All IPSI BgD conferences are non-profit! They bring together the elite
of the world science (so far, 7 times a Nobel Laureate was talking at
the opening ceremony), and they take place in the leading hotels of
the world.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Internet, Computer
Science and Engineering, Management and Business Administration,
Education, e-Medicine, Electrical Engineering, Bioengineering, Environment
Protection, and e-Economy. These conferences are in line with the
newest recommendations of NSF and EU to stress multidisciplinary,
interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary research, and truly support
this type of scientific interaction.

FIRST CALL: ECMTB05, Dresden, Germany, July 18-22, 2005

Dear colleague,
we are glad to announce the forthcoming

ECMTB05:
European Conference for Mathematical and Theoretical Biology
Dresden, Germany, July 18-22, 2005
www.ecmtb05.org

ECMTB brings together scientists from all over the world and will be THE
event in 2005 to communicate the recent advances in mathematical and
theoretical biology with a focus on ten selected key topics

* Cellular biophysics
* Regulatory networks
* Development
* Neural systems and the brain
* Evolution and ecology
* Immune system
* Biomedical applications
* Biotechnology
* Innovative mathematical methods
* Inter-disciplinary education

The main conference goal is to show that mathematical and computational
approaches are absolutely essential to solving central problems in the life
sciences, ranging from the organizational level of individual cells to the
dynamics of whole populations. Another important goal is to provide a forum
for young researchers by encouraging them to present their work and learn
from others in the field.

Applications are now invited for contributed talks and poster presentations.
In addition, researchers are encouraged to submit proposals for
mini-symposia. Submission deadlines are December 1, 2004 for mini-symposia
and February 1, 2005 for contributed talks and posters. The conference will
also feature selected exhibits by related companies.

ECMTB05 is the sixth tri-annual conference of ESMTB and the annual meeting of
SMB.

You find all relevant information (including scientific committee, invited
speakers and application forms) on the conference webpage www.ecmtb05.org
which is now online.

Best regards
Andreas Deutsch
(in the name of the local ecmtb05 team)
