Free Access to CAMQ Online for CAIMS Members (Michael Li, Professor
and Managing Editor of CAMQ, University of Alberta)
The Canadian Applied Math Quarterly (CAMQ) and CAIMS Board have
reached an agreement that all CAIMS current members will have
free access to full text of all current and back issues of CAMQ
online. For the time being, a temporary login and password
(CAIMS:member) have been assigned to allow immediate access.
We are in the process to assign personalized login and passwords
for individual members. Browse CAMQ online at:
http://www.math.ualberta.ca/ami/camq.html
The login and password are only required when you download
the pdf file of an article.
CAIMS members are encouraged to publish their research in CAMQ,
and CAMQ especially welcomes CAIMS members to published special
issues based on workshops/conferences on current topics of
Applied and Industrial mathematics.
Please contact one of the managing editors if you have ideas
for special issues.
As a brief update, we are producing Volumes 17 and 18
concurrently. Volume 17 is a special volume in commemoration
of the 30th anniversary of CAIMS. Issues 17-1, on Dynamical
Systems, and 17-2, on Mathematical Biology, have been published
online and in print. Issue 17-3 on Scientific Computation will
be out in April, and Issue 17-4 on Mathematical Finance is
expected to be out in May. In addition, Issues 18-1, 18-2
have been published, and 18-3 is coming out this month.
Starting in the summer of 2011, we expect to start publishing
Volume 19 (2011).
We welcome feedbacks and suggestions from CAIMS members to
help CAMQ grow and better serve the CAIMS community.

International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Modeling &
Computational Science (Roderick Melnik, Wilfrid Laurier
University)
The International Conference on Applied Mathematics, Modeling
and Computational Science (AMMCS) will take place in Waterloo,
Ontario, Canada from July 25 – 29, 2011.
The conference provides a unique opportunity for in-depth
technical discussions and exchange of ideas in mathematical
and computational sciences, as well as their applications
in natural and social sciences, engineering and technology,
industry and finance.
It offers to researchers, industrialists, engineers and
students to present their latest research, to interact
with the experts in the field, and to foster interdisciplinary
collaborations required to meet the challenges of modern
science, technology, and society.
The conference is a satellite meeting of the ICIAM-2011.
Located just west of Toronto in the Canada Research Triangle
area, the city of Waterloo is home to two universities, the
Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, Research in
Motion, and many other innovative institutions.
We look forward to welcoming you in Waterloo on the occasion
of this exciting scientific event. Further details about
AMMCS-2011 available at: http://www.ammcs2011.wlu.ca.
