May 13th-15th, 2013
Centre de recherches mathematiques, Universite de Montreal, Montreal, Canada
The objectives of this conference are to encourage scientific exchange within the scientific computing community in Quebec and further afield and to train senior undergraduate and graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and other young researchers via three mini-courses given by international experts. Time slots have also been set aside for short presentations by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows and there will be a contributed poster session.
Short Courses:
- Xavier Antoine, How to truncate a PDE problem set in an unbounded domain: the example of the Schrodinger equation
- Michael Griebel, On generalized sparse grids

There is no fee to attend; however, registration is mandatory. A limited budget has been reserved for travel, lodging and living expenses of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows coming from outside Montreal. A short CV and one reference letter is required to apply for this financial aid. The deadline for abstract submissions and financial aid requests is April 5th, 2013.
