1. CAIMS*SCMAI Award Nominations are open, most deadlines 30-11-2024

Calls for nominations for all CAIMS awards/prizes are now open
with a deadline for submissions November 30, 2024 for all but
the doctoral award, which is the only one with deadline January 31, 2025.
Consider nominating someone for one of our prizes and awards.

2. The Third Joint SIAM/CAIMS Annual Meetings (AN25), deadlines

In 2025, the CAIMS*SCMAI Annual Meeting will be held
jointly with the SIAM Annual Meeting, as

3. Dean, Faculty of Mathematics, position, University of Waterloo

The University of Waterloo invites applications, nominations, and expressions of interest for the position of Dean, Faculty of Mathematics with the appointment to be effective July 1, 2025.

The Faculty of Mathematics is one of the largest faculties at the University of Waterloo, ranks among the world’s leaders for the quality and diversity of its research and academic offerings.
The Faculty consists of the Departments of Applied Mathematics, Combinatorics & Optimization, Pure Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Science, and the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science.

The consultants will begin review of candidates immediately, with committee consultation beginning in the fall and continuing into 2025. The search will continue until the position is successfully filled.
