CAIMS*SCMAI Newsletters summarize all important activities of CAIMS*SCMAI during the year, list all Board Members, Committee Members, Awardees, include minutes of the latest Annual Meeting, announcements related to the next Annual Meeting, announcements related to CAIMS*SCMAI elections, as well as news from mathematical institutes across the country.

The CAIMS*SCMAI Board of Directors takes this opportunity to wish you all happy holidays and a creative new year.


2. Call for candidates in the CAIMS*SCMAI 2025 elections, deadline 31-01-2025

CAIMS*SCMAI will be holding its 2025 elections in March-April 2025.
The open positions are
+ President-Elect (duration 2 years, then rolling to President, and Past President)
+ Treasurer (duration 3 years)
+ Two Board Members-at-Large (duration 3 years each)

The above positions start in the summer of 2025, right after the Annual General Meeting during the CAIMS/SIAM joint meeting (July 28 – Aug 1, 2025).

All members of CAIMS*SCMAI are invited to put forward names of candidates for these offices. Applications should reach the CAIMS*SCMAI Secretary, Christina Christara (secretary@caims.ca) by January 31, 2025.

Once you express interest for a position, you will be asked to provide a short statement (half a page bio and similar information) and a picture of yourself.


3. The Third Joint SIAM/CAIMS Annual Meetings (AN25), deadlines

In 2025, the CAIMS*SCMAI Annual Meeting will be held
jointly with the SIAM Annual Meeting, as

July 28 – August 1, 2025, Montréal, Québec, Canada,
at Montréal Convention Center.
