1. 2025 CAIMS*SCMAI Election Results
The 2025 CAIMS*SCMAI Elections ended Tuesday, May 20, 2025.
This year we held elections for
* President-Elect
* Treasurer
* Two Member-at-Large positions on the Board of Directors
There were two nominations for the President-Elect position:
Huaiping Zhu, York University, and Theodore Kolokolnikov, Dalhousie University.
The candidate with the most votes was Huaiping Zhu.
We thank Theodore Kolokolnikov for standing, and for his many past contributions to CAIMS*SCMAI. We are looking forward to potential collaboration.
There was one nomination for the Treasurer position:
Elsa Cardoso-Bihlo, Memorial University of Newfoundland, and Elsa Cardoso-Bihlo was elected by acclamation.
There were two nominations for the two Member-at-Large positions on the Board of Directors:
Eric Foxall, University of British Columbia, Okanagan Campus, and Kazem Cheshmi, McMaster University.
Eric Foxall and Kazem Cheshmi were elected by acclamation.
We thank all candidates for running and all the members who contributed their votes.
The results of the elections go through a ratification procedure during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the members, taking place
Wednesday, July 30, 2025, 12:15 PM – 1:45 PM,
at Montreal, during the joint SIAM/CAIMS conference, and become effective immediately after.

and contributed talks have passed, the submission deadline for the online component is still open!
For this component, Minisymposium proposals are due May 27, 2025;
Contributed lecture and minisymposium presentation abstracts are due June 16, 2025.
