We have recently updated our membership forms for 2026.
If you have not registered or renewed your CAIMS*SCMAI membership for 2026 and if you are not a lifetime member of CAIMS*SCMAI,
please register or renew your membership.

Note that memberships are for calendar years, for example, this year they are for January 1, 2026 – December 31, 2026.

2. CAIMS*SCMAI 2026 conference, minisymposia proposals by Feb 1, 2026
Minisymposia for the 2026 CAIMS*SCMAI conference will consist of 100-minute blocks containing four (4) talks per block. Each talk will be 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and transition.
Themed Minisymposium proposals should include names of 3 to 12 speakers and encourage in-person attendance when possible.
Proposals for minisymposia can either fit within one of the conference themes or can be “open”. Open minisymposium proposals will have either 3 speakers (for a 4-talk MS) or 6-7 speakers (for an 8-talk MS). Minisymposium organizers will be contacted to add contributed talks fitting the theme of their proposal.

there is a submission form for proposed contributed minisymposia. Review of proposals for mini-symposia will begin February 1st 2026.
To ensure your proposal is considered, we advise submitting as soon as possible.

the University of Regina from June 15-19, 2026.

The Canadian Symposium on Fluid Dynamics (CSFD) is a biennial event started in 1974, now in the 51+ year, bringing together Canadian and international researchers in fluid dynamics.

3. ICIAM is looking for members for their Education and Funding Committees, deadline Feb 7, 2026
Dear members of CAIMS*SCMAI,
The International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM)

is a worldwide organisation for professional applied mathematics societies, and for other societies with a significant interest in industrial or applied mathematics. The Council works to advance the applications of mathematics in all parts of the world.
CAIMS*SCMAI is a full member of ICIAM.
As ICIAM is a truly worldwide organization, representing applied and industrial mathematics across all regions of the globe, it is essential that its committees reflect this international breadth.
ICIAM has two newly established committees: the Education Committee and the Funding Committee.
The Education Committee will guide and coordinate ICIAM’s educational activities and initiatives worldwide.
The Funding Committee will identify and explore sources of support for current and future ICIAM activities.
ICIAM is looking for CAIMS*SCMAI members who are interested in serving in these two committees.
