2. CAIMS*SCMAI 2026 conference, minisymposia proposals review starting Feb 26, 2026
Minisymposia for the 2026 CAIMS*SCMAI conference will consist of 100-minute blocks containing four (4) talks per block. Each talk will be 20 minutes plus 5 minutes for questions and transition.
Themed Minisymposium proposals should include names of 3 to 12 speakers and encourage in-person attendance when possible.
Proposals for minisymposia can either fit within one of the conference themes or can be “open”. Open minisymposium proposals will have either 3 speakers (for a 4-talk MS) or 6-7 speakers (for an 8-talk MS). Minisymposium organizers will be contacted to add contributed talks fitting the theme of their proposal.

there is a submission form for proposed contributed minisymposia. Review of proposals for mini-symposia will begin February 26th 2026.
To ensure your proposal is considered, we advise submitting as soon as possible.

The Canadian Symposium on Fluid Dynamics (CSFD) is a biennial event started in 1974, now in the 51+ year, bringing together Canadian and international researchers in fluid dynamics.

3. Workshop in Mathematical Modeling & Dynamics with Delay, Queen’s U., June 10-12, 2026
This workshop aims to bring together researchers working on the theory, computation, and applications of delay equations and related systems.
The workshop is being held in honour of the 60th birthday of Professor Tony Humphries (McGill University) who has played a central role in the field of DDEs.

4. Queen’s U. Mathematics Summer School for undergraduate and early graduate students, June 22-26, 2026
The Queen’s Mathematics Summer School is open to undergraduate and Masters students who are interested in spending one week learning exciting, cutting-edge mathematics on the beautiful campus of Queen’s University by the shores of Lake Ontario.
There will be three courses, each with 9 hours of lecture time over the week.
Limited funding is available for travel expenses and/or on-campus accommodations.

5 Non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor positions, University of Waterloo, review starting Feb 20, 2026
The Physics of Information and AI Lab led by Achim Kempf at the University of Waterloo, with generous funding from the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, is seeking exceptional junior scientists for up to four non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor positions.
These positions are for a 3 + 2-year term. The intention is to provide a long-term runway for ambitious research and for applying for tenure-track positions. The start date for these positions is July 1, 2026, or as negotiated.
The lab is based in the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Waterloo, with strong connections to the Department of Physics, the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI).

6. Canadian Congress on Computational Science & Engineering (C3SE 2026), Polytechnique Montréal, May 19–22, 2026
The Canadian Congress on Computational Science & Engineering (C3SE 2026)
will be held at Polytechnique Montréal from May 19–22, 2026, and is
organized by the Canadian Association for Computational Science & Engineering (CACSE/ACCSG). The congress will feature plenary and semi-plenary lectures, technical sessions, and short courses on topic such as scientific machine learning (SciML) and high-performance computing (HPC), along with student activities and opportunities for collaboration across academia, government, and industry.
